Retrofit Made To Fit Series:
A retrofit column is a column that has been sized to fit that specific
application with the appropriate mounting brackets, wiring location, cup
location and ignition if available in that model. Like our tri-fives! Most of
our retrofit columns are built with either floor shift or column shift options.

Universal Series:

A universal column is a column that can be sized to fit your application.
Universal series columns were typically manufactured for Street Rods &
Hot Rods but several of our customers are pushing the boundaries of
where our universal column can fit for them.

We cannot emphasize enough the importance of planning ahead when
building a street rod, hot rod, muscle car, custom or any other vehicle.
You will save yourself a lot of time and money if you do your research and
make the decisions about what you want ahead of time or ask as many
questions as you can prior to purchasing!

We just received our air date & time from the Science Channels "How It’s Made".  That’s right, steering columns from ididit, inc. will be featured on the popular T.V. show “How it’s Made”! Filming took place for over twelve hours on May 23rd 2008 and the show will air this Spring/Summer season on The Science Channel. The film crew followed a steering column from raw material to finished product in great detail. We were thrilled to be offered the opportunity to show off our quality American made product to the masses and can’t wait to see the finished production. Please note that this is the information that is given to us by the Science/Discovery channel.  Please check their website and your local listings to double check the time closer to the air date in case there are any changes. Click here to see the full season schedule.

Film crew arrived around 7:30am on May 23rd 2008 and didn’t complete filming until 8:00pm.  "How It's Made" Director Francois Senecal
