Installation in early model Yamaha Cart requires modification of the original steering box. The original box was built with an integral shaft making the column and gearbox a one piece unit. The Yamaha column comes complete with the necessary coupler, as well as detailed instructions to modify the existing gearbox in the early model (The late model does not require any modifications to the gear box). The wiring exits the tube of the column below the dash making it nearly invisible. The top shaft of our columns are the same as a 1969 or newer GM passenger car, a standard in the aftermarket steering wheel industry.
9-Bolt Adaptor:
The 9-bolt pattern adaptors will match Lecarra, Billet Specialties, Budnik, Boyd and many other aftermarket wheels.
